- Eight Ball Deluxe
- The machine bride of pinbot
- Time Machine
- Tales of the arabian nights
- Super Mario Bros
- und viele mehr :)

Hi Jan, can you tell me the model numbers of the contactors of siemens you used and also where did you use the big and small ones for?

Jan · Donnerstag, 04. Februar 2016

Hi Marno, you can use 3RT1016-1BB41 or 3RT1016-2BB41 or 3RT1016-2BB42 or any other 24 Volt contactor in this size. I used the 4 small ones for slingshot left/right and flipper fingers left/right and 4 bigger ones (don’t have the modell number of them) for the bumpers, because they sound a littler bit deeper. Be careful and don’t overload the LedWiz with too big contactors! Normally VPIN builders only use 8 of the smaller contactors.

Marno · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

What are the advantages of using contactors vs solenoids?

Jan · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

I think, contactors are cheaper than good solenoids. And the most solenoids can’t connected direct to the Ledwiz becaus of the higher current consumption.

Marno · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

thanks, and where do I need these for? Schaltnetzteil

Jan · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

Powersupply 12 Volt and 24 Volt for all your gadgets ;)

Marno · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

So I od not need an ATX power supply?

Jan · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

Only for the computer mainboard. You can power your gadgets with the atx power supply, but it’s better using different supplies. Less possible troubles ;)

marno · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

So I need an ATX power supply and also 12v and 24v Schaltnetzteil

Jan · Freitag, 05. Februar 2016

Yep! If you don’t plan to mount a complete PC into the cab you’ll need the 3 power supplies.

Jan, I received these 3RT1016-1BB41 (But I think these ar AC and not DC?) I got them from your advise, can I use these? (Siemens Schütz 3RT1016-1BB41 + Hilfsschaltblock) really hope I have the good ones.

Jan · Mittwoch, 10. Februar 2016

Yes, they’re ok - 3RT1016-1BB41 are 24 Volt DC contactors, which can switch up to 400 Volts. You can use them directly with the LedWiz. You don’t need the “Hilfsschaltblock”, so you can discmount them, if you want to.

Marno · Mittwoch, 10. Februar 2016

great, so i cant use the hilfsschaltblock? as this might save me from installing the 1n4004 diodes on the contactors?

Jan · Mittwoch, 10. Februar 2016

The “Hilfsschaltblock” is separate from the Diode block. You can unmount it and leave the diode block on the contactor. But you can also leave the Hilfsschaltblock on the contactor, it doesn’t matter.

Jan, I want to run VP9 tables, Future Pinball and Pinballfx2 tables on my machine (pinballx front-end) Does the Full Forceback function only work with VP or also with the others? If so, how do I need to configure the LedWiz in order to get the motor, led/strobe lights, replay knocker working etc? Do you have a script available or something? Or is there a good manual? (also for the wiring (a clear wiring scheme how to install the contactors, motor, replay knocker, led lights etc maybe ?)

Jan · Donnerstag, 11. Februar 2016

The full force feedback is only working with Visual Pinball. For the feedback you’ll need DOF (Direct Output Framework) with B2S.Server installed and your LedWiz configured - depending on your LedWiz wiring. Here you’ll find all informations to DOF (Installation, Configuration, Download): http://directoutput.github.io/DirectOutput/
And here you’ll find the LedWiz config tool: http://configtool.vpuniverse.com/login.php
For the wiring, I’ll send you the “Pinball Electrical” by email - a nice manual with information about how to wiring all the gadgets ;)

Marno · Donnerstag, 11. Februar 2016

Thanks a lot!:D

Hans · Mittwoch, 09. März 2016

Great setup Jan, really impressive ! I have sent you an email, since I am building one too, and yes, with all credits to your project which I use as the best guideline I can find :)
Can you please send me as well the “Pinball Electrical” manual for the wiring of the gadgets ? Many thanx in advance ! Hans

Jan · Donnerstag, 10. März 2016

Hans, many thanks for your comment and the mail! The Pinball Electrical is on the way to you ;)

Tim · Dienstag, 15. März 2016

Hi Jan. Well done on a great project. Could you please also send me the pinball electrical guide. I am just starting the electrics on my vpin and this will be helpful. Many thanks Tim

Jan · Mittwoch, 16. März 2016

Of course, please mail me your email adress.

Nathan P · Freitag, 10. Juni 2016

Hi Jan
Your build is hugely informative, I’m having a heck of a time finding info on how to wire up the contractors to the LEDwiz. I noticed you mentioned wiring them to a diode, do you have a guide and/or picture of what you done that I could possibly mimic?

Jan · Sonntag, 12. Juni 2016

Hi Nathan, thanks for your comment. If you send me your mail adress I can mail you the “Pinball Electrical” PDF, which is a good summary of the electrical wiring from a VPin.

Keith · Freitag, 15. Juli 2016

I would love a copy of this Pinball Electrical myself!!!

Uli · Freitag, 05. Mai 2017

Hallo Jan,

Jan · Dienstag, 25. September 2018

Hallo Andreas, danke für Deinen Kommentar. Sende mir doch für das Pinball Electrical bitte kurz Deine Mailadresse, dann geht das PDF per Mail an Dich raus: https://klomp.de/index.php/kontakt (intern – Pfad anpassen)
